How To Dye a Wig Tutorial. NEW METHOD. by BloodlustDetox How To Dye a Wig Tutorial. NEW METHOD. by BloodlustDetox
The usual method is Sharpies, which smell like poison, so I found a new way that works better, and smells like flowers! Hope it helps!

Wigs done with this method!

How does the wig feel after the treatment? From acrylics the only thing I can image is this crispy mess aha I hope that's wrong for this method!

Can you rinse off the color, or is it permanent?

Do you know if this would work with a white paint? Or using this to lighten a wig?

It has less rub than a Sharpie wig and since the paint is washable, it won't stain the clothes.

Would this work on a wavy wig? (One with the larger curls on the bottom, to be specific)

I'd personally worry about wearing a wig that had basically been dunked in fabric softener for any length of time...that's a lot of chemicals that could leech into your skin. Personally, I prefer doing the acrylic ink+isopropyl alcohol route. Even if I have to do it outside so it'll be well ventilated, once the wig is dry and has been given a rinse there are no lingering chemicals.

Although it may not be as precise as your method, especially for things with multiple colours/stripes in the wig. It's good to see that there's another wig dying option out there though! The more options the better, but I think I'll stick to my usual method for now.

That's true, but I used it since people already use the fabric softener to condition their wigs, so I suppose it doesn't bother skin too much. Thank you for pointing this out though, I do see where you're coming from.

Well If one were too wash out the wig it should remove some of the chemicals right? Most people use fabric softener on their clothing, and we wear them all the time.
